1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing rootedandwise.com or booking a coaching session, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this website or its services. These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. About the Service

Rooted And Wise is a relationship and communication coaching practice. Coaching services are provided by Dorin Harris. All sessions are conducted online via voice or text utilizing third-party communication platforms. Rooted And Wise is not responsible for any technical failures, interruptions, or privacy issues arising from these third-party platforms.

3. Coaching is Not Therapy

Rooted And Wise provides relationship and communication coaching focused on personal growth, communication skills, relationships, decision-making, and self-development.

Coaching is educational and supportive in nature. Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, mental health treatment, diagnosis, or any other licensed healthcare service, and is not a substitute for professional mental health care. You acknowledge that you take full responsibility for your own life, health, choices, and well-being.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, thoughts of self-harm, or require immediate clinical support, please contact a licensed mental health professional, call 911, or call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

By booking a session, you acknowledge that coaching is a personal development service and not a clinical or therapeutic service.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to book a session. By using this site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. Booking and Payment

Session fees are listed on the booking page. Payment is required in full before a session is confirmed. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Rooted And Wise does not store your payment information.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Sessions cancelled at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled at no charge. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice and no-shows are strictly non-refundable. Rooted And Wise reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to review exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis via text at 213-935-0138.

7. Session Extensions

Additional session time may be purchased during an active session through the Extend My Session page. Extension payments are non-refundable once the session time has been used.

8. Discovery Calls

Free discovery calls are 20 minutes and are intended to explore whether coaching is a good fit. Discovery calls do not constitute a coaching engagement and carry no obligation on either party.

9. Confidentiality

Your sessions and the information you share are treated with strict confidentiality. Information shared in sessions will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law, or in circumstances where there is an imminent threat of harm to yourself or others.

10. Limitation of Liability

Rooted And Wise is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential outcomes resulting from coaching sessions. Results vary by individual and are not guaranteed. Total liability for any claim arising from use of this service shall not exceed the amount paid for the session in question.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on rootedandwise.com including text, images, and design is the property of Rooted And Wise and may not be reproduced without written permission.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California. Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. Any unresolved disputes shall be settled through binding mediation or arbitration in Los Angeles County, California.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of law, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
